Here is a poll for ya. Aren't I like that annoying new neighbor, who wants to keep on coming over for coffee?

I chose gardening, but actually, I am really looking forward to the canning in the late summer. I love my home canned salsa and didn't get to make it last year, so I hope I have a great tomato crop this year! Tried some new varieties. I got all my veggies in the garden today!

What is everyone planting this year? Here's what's in my garden:

Tomatoes
Corn
Broccoli
Onions
Yellow Squash
Cukes
Beans
Peas
Green, jalapeno, and cherry peppers
Radishes
Lettuce
Dill

Speaking of canning......if anyone has a recipe for canning asparagus and would like to share I'd appreciate it! I'm going to have an abundance of it soon and want to can some of it. There is a woman who sells an asparagus relish at the farmer's market at ACE Hardware and I would LOVE to make something like that. It's kind of spicy and tastes great on salads instead of salad dressing.

Hi everyone! It has been a really long time since I have been to the forums. Geez...I am not THAT busy.

Anyways, I have a new book coming out this August called : Canning and Preserving for Dummies, 2nd Edition. I will be sure to have a recipe for asparagus in it.

Don't worry, I am not spamming for sales, I will be giving a book to the library.
