Please Bo. Give Watson his walking papers and install a new offense for the bowl game. You've got plenty of talent being wasted. 3 weeks is plenty of time to start over and get a jump start on next season. You could hire any high school coach within 100 miles to take over the OC position and get better results than you'll ever get from Watson. They install offenses in 3 weeks every fall.

Think about it.

Don't look at Watson, look at the OL coach, that is your problem. You guys are starting to sound like BRB. I can't believe it.

You shouldn't post when you're drunk, sonny.

Two-for-16 in third down conversions or, as Watson thinks of it, "perfection."
Too alte to make a change now for this season. Even with the bowl game coming up.
However, if something isn't done to address this in the offseason, then one would be entitled to ask what in pluperfect hell is Bo thinking.

So are you a Watson fan or something?

106 yds of offense and your panties are in a wad because I'm not heading up the Shawn Watson fan club? Total mismanagement of the best QB talent we've had here since '01 and I shouldn't be complaining? The most unimaginative playcalling ever seen in any college football game in history and you want me to kiss your 53 year old Husker following bum?

I'm almost speechless.

I disagree, sonny - I don't think it's the o-line coach at all. An old o-lineman posted in here not too long ago pointing out (much more eloquent than I'm going to do) that this o-line CAN'T get real good when they are asked to block for the WCO one series, power set the next and the spread the next or they haf'ta change from one game to the next - as a result, THEY are the ones that can't get an identity or attitude and then the whole offense winds up lacking both - And, I suspect they never will get either IF Watson continues with his Jekl and Hyde offense-!!!!!!

It's more of a Hyde and Hyde offense, but otherwise good post.

sonny, there is a problem here. When you want to point to the OL coach, you need to look at why it is the OL. Classical Gas answered this in one of the threads already: Line play is based on continuity and repetition.. If the OC had installed a true identity on Offense, then we can start looking at the OL coach and why the OL is so bad. I used to be an OL back in my younger years. And blocking is different for the different types/flavors. Pass protection is different than run blocking, WCO blocking is different that pro set, option, spread, and they are all different from each other.

The fact of the matter is, Watson has no clue of what to do with this offense. The OL can only do so much in the 5 days they have to prepare for a game. When the OC is not able to create an identity, that is hardly the fault of the OL coach. The OL needs to get the time and reps in to be able to block. When Watson is calling a schizophrenic plan, the OL will be lost, because all the techniques are not taught and drilled in like they should be.

Another aspect to look at, is the QB. Why has the QB play this year been so horrible? Why has the QB spot not improved this year, and why has it gotten increasingly worse as the year wore on? That is squarely on the QB coach, who happens to be Watson. Maybe instead of calling people worse than the BRB, you ought to really look at why the O side is so bad. I know all the O starts in the trenches, but that is on Saturdays. The time before Saturday, the OL needs to be able to work, and drill. They can not do that when the OC seems to want to do everything in the world and never settles on an identity.

The O performance is squarely on the OC, which right now is Watson.

I got the perfect Offensive coordinator-Watson has got to go-Kevin Cosgrove. Yup you heard it. Name one other person who has single- handedly made any offense look great!
Nebraska defense looked tremendous, Suh is the best in America and should win the Heisman. Crick may be #2. Otherwise we looked like a one-legged man in a butt kicking contest.

If I was an opposing DC, I would give my players and coaches the week off before playing Nebraska.

And Sonny it's Watson, he has as much imagination as deer looking into the headlights of an oncominh 18 wheeler.
