Seriously, if the coaches are saying Green isn't even good enough to be given a legitimate shot to take over for Leein that performance , he can't even possibly be worth keeping on scholarship. Either that, or Watson is clueless when it comes to evaluating QBs.
I think I know the answer.

Hmm... Pull Green's scholarship... And Gabbert Part 2 will be bolting soon...
Heck, do we actually need any QBs on scholarship?

To be fair to Lee and Green, look at what's happened to QB.
Blaine Gabbert opted to play for the University of Missouri when Steve Pederson U. was no longer an option. Patrick Witt quit. Kody Spano got hurt.
There's your QB depth. Lee -- better suited to being a backup. Green -- too raw to start and your third stringer's a converted linebacker.

Honestly, I think Lee & Green will both be fine if we can clear Watson's 'management' out of their minds and get them back to being playmakers.

Given this offense's problems, they should have given Washington a shot... He couldnt do too much worse then what i saw last night. At least La Traves knows how to run an option offense when from when he was a QB in FL. Then again, as bad as the oline played, Tebow (or any other QB you can think of) would have looked crappy behind them too! I really dont know if it is talent or coaching there. I know i saw some play from the right side (tackle i think) that made be think that starting player didnt want to hit anyone.

Green is the best QB talent we've had here in years and he's being wasted. If they put him in and turned him loose instead of forcing him to "manage the offense", he would shine.
I would rather see Green in there calling his own plays in the huddle than the unimaginative crap Shawvin Watsgrove is foisting on us.
Watson was the QB coach when Keller started over Ganz. Wastson is the one who told us Lee was the best QB he'd ever seen in this offense.
Watson is obviously clueless when it comes to judging QB talent.

Would playing Cody make us any worse than playing Lee? 100 yards of offense, by a college football team... Green also has more playmaker type of ability. This was a wasted season for Cody and our entire offense...

What would have happened if Green would have been given the starting job prior to Baylor? How would Green have performed against OU if he would have been given more than just the Baylor game to get real starting experience? What would Green have done with real game experience early in the season? Why give Green 1 (one!) series againt Texas that starts at the 1 foot line? Talk about pressure.
This was a wasted season for Green. The bottom line it was Watson made these decisions. I cannot believe Green couldn't have put more than 100 yards of offense against Texas.

Zac Lee is never going to contribute unless its to a sunbelt team. He has a problem when playing BSC teams. I hope the Gabbert part 2 does come to NU. WE need him, I also hope Green gets action against Zona.
